Fundraising FOBBS raise money in many different way, for example:
car boot sales barn sales presentations to groups and churches benefice services at local churches kind donations from individuals, local organisations, businesses and schools African drum/dance evening raffles
Please note that ALL monies raised go directly to the project. Funds are transferred to the school’s account at the Trust Bank, The Gambia. The only costs incurred are bank transfer charges. Diary of EventsThese are some of the fundraising events we have planned at present. We would appreciate your support either by donations of items to sell, or come along on the day to buy! Please contact us if you would like any further information. Easter Sunday - 8 April 2007 from 10am-4pm | A grand plant and cake sale at Horsemarling Farm, Standish. We will be selling a wide range of perennials, alpines, shrubs and climbers. Also, homemade cakes, biscuits, quiches, etc. As well as bead necklaces, small woodcarvings and paintings from The Gambia and Sierra Leone. | | Saturday 26 May 2007 | We will have a stall at the Grand Village Fete, Thrupp, Nr Stroud, Gloucestershire | | 23 June 2007 | Stonehouse Fun Day | | Saturday 21 July 2007 | We will be at the Stroud Country Show, Gloucestershire | | Saturday and Sunday 4/5 August 2007 from 10am-4pm Last year, this event raised approx £1,200 - Thanks to everyone who supported it. | Annual Barn Sale at Horsemarling Farm, Standish, near Stonehouse Lots of good quality items for sale - toys, videos, bric a brac (some Wade, Royal Doulton etc) and a good selection of hardy perennials/shrubs. Donations would be much appreciated. Items can be picked up from a 10 mile radius of Stroud/Gloucester. |
