The New Bintang Bolong Nursery School - The First Steps 2003/2004

Plans for the new Bintang Bolong Nursery School were drawn up

The site for the new school was chosen and purchased with money raised by FOBBS

Early in 2004: Building materials arrived on site

Mixing cement for the blocks on site

The water had to be carried in huge containers from the standpipes some distance away

Letter received from the Headmaster dated 21 November 2003:

"Vote of thanks
Headmast and staffs, school committee, distinguish guest, parents, pupils and well wishers. We seize this opportunity to convey our heartfelt greetings and big thanks to you Pat and her friend and the entire people of Britain.
The support rendered to Bintang Bolong Nursery School as far back in 2003 on numeral ocassion in providing the school with teaching and learning materials. To name a few these includes reading books, exericise books, pencils, pens, colours, rulers, crayons, clocks and a camera etc. Mrs Pat and friends their support and efforts towards the development of the school has gone a long way in improving the status of teachers and pupils experience.
The headmaster, staffs and committee will ever remember your goodwill gesture and will asure you that, what ever materials is provided will be put in to good use and your efforts are well recognised.
