Would you like to sponsor a child in The Gambia?

Friends of Bintang Bolong School began a sponsorship scheme at the beginning of 2004 and within a year there were twenty sponsored children. The number of sponsorships continues to grow.

Sponsorship helps a child by changing their life and the world they live in, enabling them to overcome the crushing poverty that traps them today. It means so much for the child and their family to know that somebody thousands of miles away cares about them. For the sponsor it is an opportunity to have a link with a child in another part of the world and have the satisfaction of knowing that they are making a difference.

To sponsor a child costs just £60 per year and this can be paid as a one-off payment by cheque or by standing order if you prefer (either annually or monthly).

A Sponsor Form - for you to complete and return to us,
A Standing Order Mandate Form - if you wish to pay by standing order please complete and send to your bank, or set up online if you have Internet banking,
A Gift Aid Declaration Form - if you are a UK taxpayer, please complete this form and return it to us, in order that we may reclaim the tax you have paid on your donation.

Once we receive your Sponsor Form and payment, we will then send you details of your sponsored child.

Of course, we realise that not everybody is able to sponsor on a regular basis and we are happy to accept any amount of money you are able to afford. Please make cheques payable to "Friends of Bintang Bolong School" and send to FOBBS.

Your support and donations will be gratefully received.

All money raised goes directly to the project. Funds are transferred to the school's account at Trust Bank, The Gambia. The only costs incurred are bank transfer charges.
